Opening Reception for Jealous of the Stars Photography Exhibit
Our 2019 photography exhibit will feature the work of Lucas Ryan.
Lucas was born and raised in the Chicago suburbs, and has developed a love for photography over the past several years. He shoots landscapes and street scenes, but has always had a fascination with the night sky.
Lucas has close family on Peaks Island, and has visited every year since he was born.
Peaks Island in the 1970s: Building a Community
The 1970s were a tumultuous time, but it was a watershed decade in the history of Peaks Island, when many of the essential organizations islanders depend on today were formed. This brand new exhibit features over 50 never before exhibited photographs, publications, scrap books, posters, and maps depicting life on the island in this “lost” decade.

This annual concert features the talents of a diverse lineup of island musicians, and is a fund-raiser for the Barbara Goelman Music Scholarship, awarded to an island resident who is pursuing their music education.
